Rene’ Paul Amadry, age 98, formerly of Green Lake, WI, died Wednesday, September 29, 1999, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
Rene’ graduated from Issy-les Moulineaux Chef School in Vichy France and then worked in the best restaurants in the Chicago downtown loop. After his marriage to the former Florence McKinny Norton in Green Lake in 1936, he was head chef at Norton’s Restaurant in Green Lake for 26 years.
A Memorial Mass was held October 2, 1999, at Our Lady of the Lake in Green Lake. Inurnment followed in Dartford Cemetery.
