Rev. Peter C. Davis

The Rev. Peter Charles Davis, age 68, of Ripon, died early Wednesday morning, February 13, 2002, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon.

He was born November 15, 1933, in Beaver Dam, a son to Paul and Ruth (Meyer) Davis. Peter was educated in Wessington Springs High School, Wessington Springs, South Dakota, and graduated from Greenville College, Greenville, Illinois, and Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, Kentucky, and then Pastored Free Methodist Churches in Wisconsin and Indiana. Peter later worked in the office at Speed Queen in Ripon for 29 years. He currently was Pastor of Pastoral Care at Grace Reformed Church In Fond du Lac, where he was a member.

Survivors include his wife, Daneen J. Davis of Ripon; two children, Kimberly (Larry) Feder of Green Lake and Kent (DeeAnn) Davis of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Katelyn and Eric Feder, and Alexis Davis; brothers, Ray (Doris) Davis of Washington and Richard (Delores) Davis of Juneau, WI; sister, Caroline (Don) Crider of California; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Harold, and two sisters, Janice and Ida.

Funeral service for the Rev. Peter Charles Davis will be Saturday, February 16, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Reformed Church, 163 East 18th St., Fond du Lac, with Pastor Barry Vegter officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again on Saturday from noon until the time of the service at the church. A memorial has been established.
