Reverend Calbert Westley Enterline, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon, WI.
Calbert was born on December 24, 1930, in Grimes, Iowa, the son of Thomas and Lois (Helt) Enterline. He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Calbert attended Southwestern Bible Institute in Waxahachie, Texas and earned the Bachelor of Bible Theology, Master of Ministry, and Doctor of Divinity degrees from International Bible Institute and Seminary in Orlando, Florida. In 1952, Calbert married Jean Stauffer at The Paseo Assembly of God in Kansas City, Missouri. He was ordained as an Assemblies of God minister in Missouri in 1956. Calbert was a mail carrier for thirteen years for the Kansas City, Missouri Post Office and he and his wife managed motels for seven years. He ministered to congregations in Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois and Wisconsin. Calbert served as Jail Chaplain in Paducah, Kentucky, as Hospital Chaplain in Wausau, Wisconsin, and as Industrial Chaplain at the Alpha Cast Foundry in Whitewater, Wisconsin. He also served as pulpit supply to numerous congregations in Wisconsin. Calbert authored a book, My Fathers House and The New Jerusalem. Calbert was a member of Hillside Assembly in Ripon. After eleven years of service as the official greeter at the front gate of the American Baptist Assembly, Green Lake Conference Center, he retired in 2001 after suffering a stroke.
Survivors include his wife Jean of Ripon, WI; one daughter, Donna Kolpack of Kansas City, MO; three sons, John (Karen) Enterline of Kyle, TX, Paul (Ann) Enterline of Greenville, WI and Mark Enterline of Kyle, TX; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Chilton of Antigo, WI, Tracy Heckert of Schofield, WI, Deanna (Titus) Watson of Temple, TX, Brian (Leyanne) Enterline of Austin, TX, Benjamin and Allison Enterline of Greenville, WI, Nathaniel Enterline of Great Lakes, IL, Matthew (Amber) Enterline of Kenosha, WI, and Andreea Enterline of Kenosha, WI; Five great grandchildren, Asher and Eli Enterline of Austin, TX, Conner Enterline of Kenosha, WI, Josiah Pritt of Antigo, WI; and Zander Watson of Temple, TX; one brother, Boyd (Fern) Enterline of Lucas, IA; one sister, Norma Gross of Des Moines, IA; three sisters-in-law, Glendoris Enterline of Urbandale IA, Norma Arnold of Olathe, KS, and Betty (Dewaine) Tilden of Sioux Falls, SD; two brothers-in-law, Glen (Ada Belle) Stauffer of Tioga, TX and Harold (Marie) Stauffer of Harris, MN, and many nieces and nephews. Calbert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lloyd Enterline and Thomas Enterline Jr.
Visitation for Reverend Calbert Enterline will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009, from 9 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Assembly in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Reverend Calbert Enterline will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Assembly in Ripon, 656 W. Oshkosh St. Ripon, WI 54971. Reverend Larry Leibe and Reverend Donald Deike will officiate. Internment will follow at Spencer Lake Memorial Park in Waupaca, WI. Memorials may be given to Hillside Assembly Church.
