Reverend Edward Zellmer

Reverend Edward A. Zellmer, age 61, of Augusta, WI passed away on Thursday, May 16, 1957 at home.

Edward was born on July 19, 1895 in Princeton, WI, the son of Frank and Mathilda (Boyk) Zellmer. He was educated at Ripon public schools, The Free Methodist Academy of Evansville, WI, and a school in Spokane, WA. He was the Pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Augusta, WI, and past charges in Jackson, MN, Prairie Farm, WI, Arcadia, WI, Marshfield, WI, Horicon, WI, Baraboo, WI, and Sparta, WI. Edward married Jennie Stanke.

Edward is survived by his wife, Jennie Zellmer; a son, Edgar of Sparta, WI, two daughters, Mrs. Lyle Nestingen of Madison, WI and Mrs. William Cummings of Cody, WY; eight grandchildren; a brother, Milton of Fond du Lac, WI; and one sister, Mrs. Rudy Bloch of Fond du Lac, WI. Among other survivors is his uncle, Reverend G.A. Zellmer of Ripon, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mathilda Zellmer.

Funeral services for Reverend Edward will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 20, 1957 at Evangelical United Brethren Church of Augusta, WI, with Reverend Melvin Simonson of Eau Claire officiating, and again at 4:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend C.A. Bender officiating. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon, WI.
