Rheinold G. Conrad, age 92, passed away, peacefully, Friday, October 2, 2015, at home in Ripon, WI., surrounded by his family. His life ended in the same room where he was born in, on Nov. 5, 1922 on the farm where he lived his entire life. His lifelong credo was Do onto others as you would have them do onto you. And, above all else, seek peace and compromise within your family and for all the world. He was the son of Gustav and Wilhelmina Conrad who bought their farm south of Ripon in 1910. Rheinold took over the farm at an early age and was responsible for its continued success throughout his entire life.
Survivors include his son, Kurt (Sheri) Conrad of Marshfield, WI, son, Mark (Jane Martin) Conrad of Chetek, WI, and daughter, Kara (Roger) Cooke of Ripon, WI; three grandsons, Jonathan (Evgeniya) Conrad of Bradenton, FL, Ben and Dan Cooke of Ripon, WI; three granddaughters, Sarah Conrad of Riverside, CA, and Kayla and Alyssa Cooke of Ripon, WI, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Rheinold was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betsy; brothers, Gilbert (Virginia) Conrad, Robert (Lucille/Margaret) Conrad, Arnold Conrad, and four sisters, Lydia (Frank) Huber, Alma (Herman) Manske, Elizabeth (Vincent) Schmitt, and Verna (Phillip) Peterson.
Visitation for Rheinold will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at 10 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Rheinold will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Pastor Joanna DAgostino will officiate. A private interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
