Richard E. Ammann, age 69, of Markesan, WI, passed away Sunday, September 20, 1987, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
Richard was born May 3, 1918, in Racine, WI, the son of Carl J. and Laura (Wadewitz) Ammann. He was educated in Racine. Richard served our country in the United States Navy in WWII in the South Pacific. He married Marion Means on November 29, 1941. Richard worked in sales for Western Publishing Company of Racine for 41 years. He was a member of Terrace Shores Evangelical Free Church in Markesan.
Survivors include his wife, Marion; two sons, Richard Jr. of Racine and William of Des Plaines, IL; four daughters, Barbara Coulter of San Antonio, Texas, Mary Beth Foan of Beverly, Mass., Marjorie Ralston of Arlington, Texas and Janet Buhler of Sturtevant, WI; nine grandchildren and one brother, Roy C. of Appleton, WI. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Visitation for Richard will be held Tuesday, September 22, 1987, from 5 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Richard will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 1987, at 11:00 am at Terrace Shores Evangelical Free Church in Markesan with Reverend Arthur Volkmann officiating. Interment will follow at Markesan Memorial Cemetery in Markesan. A memorial has been established for the church building fund, Timber-lee Christian Center East Troy & The Shepards Home of Union Grove.
