Richard "Dick" Krause

Richard “Dick” Wayne Krause, 68, of Ripon, died Wednesday evening, May 23, 2001, of a chronic illness at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.
He was born April 23, 1933, in the Town of Ripon, a son to Alfred and Elsie (Hem) Krause. He was confirmed on March 30, 1947, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, and graduated from Ripon High School in 1951. Dick served his country from 1953- 1955 during the Korean Conflict and attained the rank of Army Corporal. He worked in the factory at Georgia Pacific in Oshkosh. On April 8, 1978, he married Patricia Dudzinski. Dick was a member of United Church of Christ in Rosendale, Ripon Drum and Bugle Corps, and VFW Post #5278 in Ripon.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Ripon; 1 son, Dean Richard Krause of Omro; 1 brother, Arthur (Delores) Krause of Ripon; 3 sisters, Louise Cory of Green Lake, Margie (Phillip) Prellwitz of Ripon, and Ruby (Royden) Brunet of Fond du Lac; sister-in-law, Margaret Krause of Ripon; several nieces and nephews; many loving neighbors and friends. He was preceded in deafh by parents; and 2 brothers, Lawrence “Larry” Krause and Arden “Butch” Krause.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with the Reverend Laura K. Hawkins officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. lnurnment will be in Loper Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
