Richard (Dick) John Dorsch, age 61, of Princeton passed away on Saturday August 15, 2009, at home with family at his side following a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Dick was born February 2, 1948 in Ripon, the son to Gordon and Margaret (Polus) Dorsch. He graduated from Ripon High School and attended two years of vocational training for tool and die making. He married his wife Beverly (Figlinski) in Princeton in 1986. With his innovative entrepreneurial spirit he was self employed as an accomplished carpenter and furniture builder. Dick was known to socialize with many and miss few.
Survivors include his wife Beverly J. Dorsch of Princeton, his children Patricia L.
(Ronnie) Wagner; Peggy S. (Mark) Linzmeier; Andrea J. (Paul) Plueddeman; James J. (Kathleen) Meyer; Michelle L. (Randall) Berghammer; and his grand-children, Kevin, Caprice, and Cody Schueler; Alicia, Morgan, Brooke, Annika, and Juliah Linzmeier; Brittany, and Samantha Meyer; Holly, Heather, and Jesse Berghammer; and great-grand children Hunter J. and Ariana L. Rosplock; siblings Patricia (Gary) Grahn, Gordon (Christine) Dorsch, Cathy (Robert) Berndt, Joseph (Carole) Dorsch, Donald (Diana) Dorsch, and many nieces, nephews and the familys very special friend Linda Fitzpatrick.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Margaret, his father Gordon, brother Paul Vincent Dorsch, sister Constance Marie Dorsch and a son Russell John Dorsch.
Memorial service for Dick will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Pastor Paul Yoder will be officiating, and an inurnment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in the Town of Ripon.
