Richard Erdmann

Richard “Dick” “Slim” Erdmann, age 75, formerly of Ripon, died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at Clearview Long Term Care and Rehab in Juneau.
He was born May 20, 1925, in Ripon, a son to Emil and Clara (Serrahn) Erdmann. He was baptized, confirmed and a lifelong member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. He attended rural school in the Ripon/Brandon area. Dick had lived in this area all of his life and until retiring at 65, had been a printing press operator for 30 years at Admanco.
Survivors include his three sisters, Ruth (Henry) Heidelback of Mequon, LaVern Freimund of Marshfield and Carol (Wilfred) Retznick of Athens; sister-in-law, Verna Erdmann of Ripon; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, William, Harold and Robert Erdmann and one sister, Evelyn Gazinski.
Funeral service for Richard Erdmann will be Saturday, March 17, 2001, at 1 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Reverend Gerald Schrankler officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Brandon Cemetery in Brandon. Memorials to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in his name.
