Richard Finley, age 86 of Princeton, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007 at Sunnyview Health Care Center in Princeton.
Richard was born on June 1, 1921 in Town of Grow (Lady Smith), Rusk County, WI the son of Garfield and Ada (Pritchard) Finley. He attended school in Lady Smith and in 1948 he married Darlene Ann Hunter in Lady Smith. Richard served his county in the US Army and worked as a farmer in the Ripon area.
Survivors include his wife Darlene of Princeton, eleven children; Cheryl Zills of Ripon, Chuckie (Gary) Eichstedt of Ripon, Richard Finley Jr. of AR., Zeke (Marikay) Finley of Ripon, Trudy (Dennis) Howen of Fond du Lac, Tracy (Ken) Knaack of Ripon, Jason (Lori) Finley of FL, Dennis (Pat) Finley of AL, Kitty (Mark) Eichstedt of TX, Kelly Jo Finley of TN, and Fritz (Mandie) Finley of Ripon, 26 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, one sister Lois Christofoli, one brother Ralph Finley, and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Vicky Finley, two granddaughters; Ronelle Eichstedt and Tiffany Eichstedt, six brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation for Richard Finley will be held on Monday, November 12, 2007 from 4 to 7:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from 10-11:00 am at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Richard Finley will be held at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 11:00 am with the Reverend Gerald Schrankler officiating. Interment will follow in Nepeuskun Cemetery, Town of Nepeuskun. A memorial has been established in his name.
