Richard A. Foelske, age 71, of Green Lake, WI, died unexpectedly Friday, February 13, 1998, while ice fishing at the Princeton Locks.
He was born February 18, 1926, in Marquette Co., a son to Fred and Martha (Zick) Foelske, Sr. He graduated from Princeton High School and attended Platteville College, and was a livestock buyer for Oscar Meyer in Illinois. He then owned and operated Blackhawk Gardens in Oregon, Illinois from 1964 to 1976. In 1979, he and Anita M. Hayunga and most of their retired life they lived in Green Lake.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; three sons, Dean Foelske of Green Bay, Dale and David Foelske of Beaver Dam; one brother, Fred (Gerry) Foelske, Jr. of Princeton; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service for Mr. Foelske will be Monday, February 16, 1998, at 9:30 am at Bluffton Cemetery in the Town of Brooklyn, followed by a 10:30 am memorial service at Terrace Shores Evangelical Free Church. Reverend Gary Zacharias will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Terrace Shores Church in his name.
