Richard Geiser

November 4, 1946 — November 21, 2016

Richard “Dick” Geiser, age 70, began his new life with Jesus, with his loving wife by his side at their home on November 21, 2016.

Dick was born on November 4, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended the University of Ohio until transferring to UW-Oshkosh in 1967. Dick married the love of his life, Mary L. Jonet, in 1969. He loved to tell everyone that Mary donated one of her kidneys to him 19 years ago and that “she’s a day older than me”. Dick worked at Scharpf’s Office Supply for 35 years and then at Race Office Supply until 2014.

Plymouth Church and his church family was so very important to Dick. He faithfully served in many ways including on the Elder Board, Trustees Committee, Missions Committee, Teller Committee, Nursery Committee and more. Dick’s favorite things were traveling to the Caribbean beaches every winter, spending time with his grandchildren and watching sports.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Mary; his precious daughter, Jamie (Andy) Mugerauer; grandchildren, Marjorie and Archie; brother-in-law, JeanPaul (Susan) Jonet; sister-in-law, Teresa Geiser; niece, Caitlin (Lance) Grassl and baby Delilah; nephew, Colin (Rachel Kreutz) Jonet; nieces, Haleigh (Jordan) Weger, Jessalyn Geiser, Sarah (Steve) Adkins and their children, and Andrea (Kilo) Elisaia and their children. Dick was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Richard Geiser; brother, Ken Geiser; sister, Barbara (Geiser) Weems and brother-in-law, Lloyd Weems.

Visitation for Dick will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016, from 5 – 8:00 pm at Plymouth Church, 1325 Georgia St., Oshkosh, WI 54901 and again on Saturday, November 26, from 9 – 10:00 am at Plymouth Church in Oshkosh.

Funeral Service for Dick will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 10:00 am at Plymouth Church in Oshkosh. Pastor Rick Hopkins will officiate. Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Oshkosh. Memorials may be directed to Plymouth Church, 1325 Georgia St., Oshkosh, WI 54901.

Dick would like to thank his many brothers and sisters in the Lord at Plymouth Church for all their love and support. We would also like to thank the nurses and staff at Mercy Medical Center ICU, Eden Meadows, Affinity Hospice and Preferred Home Health Care for their loving care.
