Richard Boudin Grout, age 77, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 1984, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Richard was born March 25, 1906, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Joseph and Leda (Boudin) Grout. He married Kathryn Alice Reed on June 28, 1930. Richard worked as the past president and chairman of First National Bank of Ripon; past director of Ripon Knitting Works and Madison Bus Company. He was a member and past president of Ripon Rotary Club, Trustee and Treasurer of Ripon College, retired as Honorary Trustee and attended Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
Survivors include one son, Gerald R. Grout of Ripon, WI; one daughter, Judith (Robert) Sullivan of Bound Brook, New Jersey; nine grandchildren and one sister, Dorothy (Horace) Johnson of Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his wife on April 9, 1983.
Funeral Service for Richard will be held on Thursday, March 22, 1984, at 1:30 pm at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ripon with Reverend Robert J.C. Brown officiating. A memorial has been established for Ripon College and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
