It is with sadness in our hearts that we mourn the recent loss following an illness, of our loving brother, Richard T. Hablewitz, age 55, at his home in Baraboo, WI, (formerly of Ripon, WI), on Saturday, January 20, 2018.
Richard was born December 13, 1962, in South Milwaukee, WI, the son of Roy J. and Barbara A. (Zilla) Hablewitz. Later they moved to Ripon, WI, where Richard went on to graduate from Ripon High School. He was an accomplished craftsman and mechanic who enjoyed a wide array of outdoor activities including fishing and working on cars. He was a devoted and loving son having sacrificed all his free time caring for his mother as her health declined over the years. He always had a funny story or joke to share with people. Richard had also been a lifelong member of the Catholic Church.
Richard is survived by his brothers, Roy D. Hablewitz and Robert (Mary) Hablewitz; nieces, Anne Hablewitz, Alyssa Hablewitz, Stefani Magnowski, and Alison Hablewitz, and nephew, Andrew Hablewitz. He also survived by many cousins throughout the family. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Roy Hablewitz.
Visitation for Barbara and Richard will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018, from 11 – 1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St., Green Lake, WI 54941.
Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara and Richard will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake with Reverend Tafadzwa Kushamba officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake, WI.
