Richard Hendricks, age 73, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Ripon Medical Center.
Richard was born October 26, 1944, in Waupun, WI, the son of Harold and Marion (Streicher) Hendricks. He graduated from Waupun High School in 1961. Richard married Karen Klettke on August 22, 1964 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. He worked for Green Giant Canning Company and then worked as a bindery supervisor for Ripon Printers where he retired. Richard was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon. Running was a big part of his life. He was a marathoner and a member of the Fond du Lac Running Club. Richard was a Cross Country Coach at Ripon College where he started the program.
Survivors include his two daughters, Kim (Terry) Boe of Ripon, WI and Kelly (Dale) Schmuhl of Brandon, WI; grandchildren, Samantha (Adam) Graf of Rhinelander, WI, Ashleigh (special friend, Mike) Boe of Ripon, WI, Jordan Boe of Green Bay, WI, Taylor Boe of Ripon, WI, Mallory (Eric) Krueger of Markesan, WI, Zachary (Alyssa) Meyer of Brandon, WI, Amanda (Josh) Douma of Little Chute, WI, Emily (Cory) Strahota of Markesan, WI and Carissa Schmuhl of Waupun, WI; great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Maren Banks of Ripon, WI, Urijah Lambert of Ripon, WI, Aydann and Cooper Graf of Rhinelander, WI, Sawyer Bilke, Trenton and Lori Krueger all of Markesan, WI, Levi and Madisyn Meyer of Brandon, WI and Gabriel Douma of Little Chute, WI; siblings, Bill (Mandi) Hendricks of Oshkosh, WI, Mark (Diane) Hendricks of Waupun, WI, Judy Hansen of Waupun, WI, Geri Stobb of Oshkosh, WI and Connie (Randy) Stobb of Waupun, WI. Richard is further survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marion Hendricks, wife, Karen Hendricks, daughter, Tamara Linn Klettke and in-laws, Earl and Edna Klettke.
Visitation for Richard will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018, from 9 11:00 am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 107 S. Prairie St., Brandon, WI 53919.
Memorial Service for Richard will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 11:00 am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon with Pastor Bob Rosenberg officiating. A memorial is being established in his name.
