Richard L. Reading, age 56, of Princeton, WI, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Juliette Manor in Berlin.
Richard was born February 26, 1960, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Louis A. and Janice (Fischer) Reading. He graduated from high school in Waukesha, WI. Richard worked as a machinist for Louis Allis and also worked as a millwright for Leech Corporation. Known for his constant smile and sense of humor, Rich will be missed by all those who loved him. His charisma and charm always brought a smile to people who knew him. Rich loved his son, Nicholas, as well as his step-mother, parents, brothers and friends. He is also known for his love of bluegrass music festivals and camping and rarely missed an opportunity to participate in these events. Rich is also known for requesting that his late father keep a foot in the gate for him in Heaven until he gets there.
Survivors include his special friend, Janis of Princeton, WI; son, Nicholas Reading of Markesan, WI; one granddaughter, Alexis May Reading; three brothers, Douglas (Pamela) Reading of Milwaukee, WI, Donald (Suzanne) Reading of Edina, MN and Charles Reading of Ripon, WI; step-mother, Bernice Reading of Green Lake, WI; step-sister, Kathy Paris of Indiana and nephew, Michael. He was preceded in death by parents, Louis and Janice Reading.
Visitation for Richard will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016, from 4 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Saturday, March 19, 2016, from 10 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St., Green Lake, WI 54941.
Funeral Service for Richard will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Father Philip Krogman will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established in his name.
