Richard N. (Dick) Troudt, age 66, of N7860 Angle Rd., Ripon, passed away Friday, November 26, 2004 at Ripon Medical Center.
Richard was born April 19, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI, the son to George and Elsie (Heft) Troudt. He attended Longfellow and Triangle schools and graduated from Ripon High School. Dick enjoyed playing High School baseball, basketball and was captain of his football team. He married Barbara Wahoske on November 29, 1958 in Ripon. Dick was employed with the Ripon Ford dealership all of his life beginning as a salesman from 1960-1972. In 1972 he was part owner of Troudt-Wiggs, a Pontiac-Buick dealership. In 1977 he returned to the Ripon Ford dealership as Sales Manager and was employed there until he retired in 2000. He resumed his career in 2002 by opening a dealership called Triangle Auto Sales with partner Mike Bisset.
Dick was a past member of the J.C’s, and Ducks Unlimited. He was honored with numerous Ford Salesman of the Year awards. Dick enjoyed duck, pheasant, elk and deer hunting but his true joy was trout fishing on Green Lake. He also enjoyed riding horses, playing with his dogs, going north to their condo with friends and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife Barbara of Ripon; Children, Christine (Jeffrey) Blackburn of Pickett, Katherine (Steven) Kwakkel of Markesan, Kelly (Bur) Zeratsky of Green Lake and Richard (Kristian) Troudt of Ripon; Grandchildren, Jeffrey (Tina) Blackburn, Angela (fiance, Erik) Blackburn, Shane Kwakkel, Shannon (Kelly) Peth, Steven O. Kwakkel, John A. Zeratsky, Jennifer Zeratsky, August Zeratsky and Hanna Claxton; Great-grandchildren, Briana Blackburn, Brett Peth and Brice Peth. He is also survived by two nephews, R.J. and Christopher Troudt and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Russell and sister-in-law, Addie.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. with visitation from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service, all at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. The service will be officiated by Rev. Donald Deike. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Midwest Division, 3311 S. Packerland Dr. DePere, WI 54115.
