Rita Frieda Prellwitz, age 84, of Markesan, formerly of Ripon, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2006 at the Markesan Resident Home.
Rita was born on November 10, 1921 in Wurzburg, Germany, the daughter of Walter and Anna Kess. She was educated in Wurzburg, Germany. On September 2, 1950 she married Paul Prellwitz in Wurzburg. She worked at Ripon Knitting Works and was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ of Ripon.
Survivors include brother-in-law, Lawrence (Irene) Prellwitz of Ripon; sisters-in-law, Gertrude (Harold) Krause and Leona Steinke both of Ripon, and nieces and nephews, Gerhard, Gerald, Karen, Carol, Ricky and Ronold. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
Visitation for Rita Prellwitz will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2006, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon.
Funeral Service for Rita Prellwitz will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, with Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, City of Ripon, on Monday, July 17, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. Memorials may be given to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ.
