Rita Savoie, age 97, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Maplecrest.
Rita was born November 28, 1923 in Woonsocket, RI, the daughter of Phillip and Eugenie (Marion) Gareau. She attended parochial school as a child and married Paul Jeremy Savoie after high school. Rita was a devout Catholic and more than anything, she loved God, her family and animals. She was a devoted housewife and mother.
Survivors include her sons, Chuck Savoie, of Ripon and Phillip Savoie of Iton, Whales; and grandchildren, Gracen Wayne Savoie, Paul Avery Savoie and Georgia Gene Savoie. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Eugenie Gareau; husband, Paul Savoie; and six brothers.
Per Rita’s wishes, there will be no service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Trumbull, CT. Memorials in Rita’s name may be directed to: Green Lake Area Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 86, Green Lake, WI 54941.
