Robert "Bob" Grasee

Robert “Bob” D. Grasee, age 74, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Ripon Medical Center.
Bob was born September 15, 1939, in Ripon, the son of Robert and Margaret (Redemann) Grasee. He graduated from Ripon High School and on September 10, 1960, Bob married Frances V. Markowski in Berlin. He was a farmer for his entire life. Bob was awarded the Outstanding Young Farmer in 1967 and Fond du Lac County Soil and Water Conservation District Award. Bob enjoyed playing softball, dartball and bowling. He served on the Farm Service Agency and WI Soybean Association boards. Bob was also a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Bob was passionate about family, farming and conservation. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and watching them play sports. In his younger days, he enjoyed participating in sports, wrestling with “Bobby’s” boys, hunting and family weekends at the cottage. He enjoyed traveling with Fran and going to country and western concerts. Later in life he loved to take the grandkids on the combine and ATV to see the farm. He bleeds Green and Gold for John Deere tractors and the Green Bay Packers. “Grizz” wishes everyone to have an “Old Style” in his memory.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Frances Grasee of Ripon, WI; his children, Robert (Kim) Grasee Jr. of Ripon, WI, Rebecca (Steve) Seward of Oshkosh, WI, Peter (Kimberly) Grasee of Ripon, WI and Michael (Kari) Grasee also of Waunakee, WI; nine grandchildren, Ashleigh, Lauren, Jake, PJ, Aby, Anna, Zach, Elena and Maya; one sister, Margie Reinsch of Ripon, WI; brothers-in-law, Vince Markowski of Manitowoc, WI and Tony Markowski of Hudson, WI; sisters-in-law, Barbara Shilobrit of Oshkosh, WI, Mary Shurpit of Ripon, WI and Lori Markowski of Appleton, WI and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded by his parents, one brother, Russell; sisters, Olive (Don) Pause and Jeannette (Bob) Pfenning; brothers-in-law, Don Reinsch, August Markowski, Donald Shurpit, Alexander Shilobrit and sisters-in-law, Wilma Markowski and Nora Jean Markowski.
Visitation for Bob will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013, from 9:30 – 10:30 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Prayer service for Bob will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013, at 10:30 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate.
