Robert (Bob) Ray Meyer, age 68, died peacefully at home with his family on November 15, 1996, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born August 30, 1928, on the same family farm at Route 1, Brandon, the son of John and Josephine (Mirr) Meyer. He married the former Mary Ann Frank on November 3, 1951, in Milwaukee where he worked at the T.L. Smith Machine Company. In 1963, he moved back to the family farm and farmed until 1993. Bob also drove truck for 4X Corporation until 1988, and most recently drove dump truck for RR Wash, and worked as grounds maintenance keeper for the American Baptist Assembly.
Surviving are Mary Ann Meyer; his mother, Josephine Meyer of Ripon; 2 brothers, Harold (Barb) Meyer of Brandon and Donnie Meyer of Ripon; 3 sons, David Meyer of Green Lake, Bobbie (Nancy) Meyer of Winneconne and Jim (Penny) Meyer of Green Lake; and 4 grandchildren, Mark, Dan, Annie and Kate. He was preceded in death by his father, 3 infant children, 2 sons and 1 daughter.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 17, 1996, from 4 until 7 P.M. at the ButzinMarchant Funeral Home, Ripon. A private funeral service will be held Monday, November 18th at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Burnard officiating. Burial will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake.
