Robert Bob Otto Bornick, age 91, of Markesan, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Barrett House in Markesan.
Bob was born April 27, 1923, in Mecan Township, Montello, WI, the son of Otto and Dena (Holtz) Bornick. On June 11, 1944, Bob was united in marriage to Gwendolyn Pamenter in Green Lake, WI. He worked as a Loader Operator for Michels Pipe Line for 25 years. Bob was a hard worker his whole life. He enjoyed hunting, taking trips, and making wood. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Markesan. Bobs greatest joy was spending time with his family and especially loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Gwen Bornick, Markesan, WI; daughters: Ginny (Ron) Kearley, Markesan, WI, and Lindeen Bornick, Markesan, WI; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Elnora Fleegal, Della Stelter, and Lorraine Marotz; sister-in-law, Ruth Pamenter; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elmer Bornick; brothers-in-law: Lyndon Pamenter, Roy Pamenter, Alfred Marotz, Harry Fleegal, and Albert Stelter; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Dehn, and Norma Bliske.
Visitation for Robert Bornick will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014, from 10:00 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Markesan, N1529 State Road 73, Markesan, WI 53946.
Memorial Service for Robert Bornick will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Markesan. Pastor Paul Krause will officiate. A memorial is being established in his name.
