Robert Bostelmann, Sr.

Robert “Bob” A. Bostelmann, Sr., age 64, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at his home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bob was born on March 27, 1948, in Chicago, IL, the son of Frank and Vivian (Melville) Bostelmann Sr. He graduated from Steinmetz High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1967 to 1973 as a Rifleman receiving the Sharpshooter Rifle Badge – M-14. On April 4, 1975, Bob married Marge Uitz in Chicago, IL. He attended Carthage College and became owner of Midwest Firearm Products, Inc. in Green Lake for the past 15 years. Bob attended Terrace Shores Evangelical Free Church in Green Lake and was also a past member of Green Lake Rotary. He was an active member of the Winnebago Area Flying Club. He loved flying his Ercoupe and as a result was nicknamed, Ercoupe Bob. His number one favorite thing to do was delight his grandchildren and nieces and nephews with golf cart and mini-bike rides through the woods. Bob and Marge also enjoyed long trips on his Harley with friends, Joan and Luther. Bob loved life and it was his positive attitude that helped him through his battle with cancer. He fulfilled all of his dreams and in the end had no regrets.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Marge Bostelmann of Green Lake, WI; two daughters, Lynne (Brian) Dudzinski of Huntley, IL and Nichole (Shane) Weir of Green Lake, WI; one son, Robert Bostelmann Jr. of Ripon, WI; “adopted daughter”, Tina Kratz of Markesan, WI; mother, Vivian Bostelmann of Green Lake, WI; two grandsons, Nathan and Tyler Dudzinski both of Huntley, IL; three brothers, Frank (Marie) Bostelmann, Jr. of Carol Stream, IL, Thomas Bostelmann of Owasso, OK and Donald Bostelmann of Markesan, WI; one sister, Sandra Samuelian of Sacramento, CA; brother-in-law, John (Shirley) Uitz of Bella Vista, AR; Lynne’s mother, Barbara Bostelmann of Elk Grove Village, IL; special friends, Luther Olsen and his wife, Joan Wade of Ripon, WI and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and many friends. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Frank.
Visitation for Bob will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Saturday, March 2, 2013, from 9 – 11:00 am at Trinity Evangelical Free Church, 777 Harvey St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Bob will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 11:00 am at Trinity Evangelical Free Church, 777 Harvey St., Ripon, WI 54971. Reverend Gary Zacharias will be officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. A memorial is being established.
