Robert C. Butler, age 83, of Pickett, WI, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 1992, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
He was born December 13, 1908, in the Town of Rosendale to William and Anna (Meyer) Butler. He was educated in the Town of Rosendale. On January 1, 1930 he married Mildred Hammond. Together they made their home in the Town of Rosendale.
Robert farmed on the home farm all of his life. At the Wisconsin State Fair in 1990, he received the Century Farm Plaque. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Ripon and was a past member of the Rosendale Center School Board.
He is survived by one son, David (LaVonne) Butler of Ripon; one daughter, Bonnie Edgar) Miller of Oshkosh; eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy (Alan) Hargrave of Ripon; and one sister-in-law, Muriel Butler of Sun Prairie. He was preceded in death by his wife on November 24, 1989. One son and one brother also preceded him in death.
Funeral Services for Robert C. Butler will be held Saturday, October 31, 1992 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, Ripon. The Reverend Catherine Ann Carlson will officiate. Burial will follow in Zoar Cemetery, Town of Rosendale. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
