Robert G. Christensen, age 76, of 403 Eaton Street, Green Lake died July 29, 2005 at his home.
Robert was born January 13, 1929 to Fredrick Christensen and Verna (Lewis) Christensen in Tomahawk. He graduated high school in Tomahawk and married Lorraine DeBels. He worked his way up to the Vice President of Production at Colonial Container Corporation in Green Lake. Robert loved sports, hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons and was a member of the Berlin Sportsmen Club. Bob also enjoyed working with his hands, fixing things.
Survivors include his five children; Sandy (Mike) Smith of Neenah, Robert (Julie) Christensen Jr. of Campbellsport, Thomas Christensen of Fond du Lac, Kenneth (Debra) Christensen of Omro, and Timothy (Patricia) of Appleton, five grandchildren; Thomas (Marla) Smith, Joseph (Ligia) Smith, Scott, Randy and Keith Christensen, one great-granddaughter; Caitlyn Smith. Also surviving are his two brothers; Bill (Gay) Christensen and Mike (Joann) Christensen, two sisters; June (John) DuPont and Elaine Crump and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorraine, and four brothers; Fred, Mark, Rod, Alfred and one sister Jerry.
Friends may call on Tuesday, August 2, 2005, from 4-7 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at St. Augustine Church in Harrison, WI from 1-3:00 pm. A funeral service for Robert G. Christensen will be held at 3:00 pm at the church with Michele Rein officiating. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, Town of Harrison. A memorial has been established.
