Robert Bob H. Clark, age 88, of Mooresville, IN, was taken to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Omro, WI at his daughters home.
Bob was born June 20, 1924, in Aurora, IL, the son of Beryl and Francis (Brownback) Clark. He graduated from West Aurora High School. Bob was a coxswain piloting a Higgins boat during WWII. He participated in the Pacific landings at Saipan, Tinian, Guam and Leyte Gult. He married Hazel Bourelle, his wife of 65 years on November 8, 1947. A devoted Christian, he was a loving husband and wonderful father. He enjoyed fishing, working with his hands and playing with his great grandchildren. A man who possessed a strong work ethic, he was always looking for things to do, even when his health did not allow. His quick wit and gentle smile were always evident in everything he did up to the end.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Hazel of Mooresville, IN. He and Hazel were blessed with four children and he is survived by Sherrie (Neil) Wilson of Omro, WI and Patricia (Dale) Stanton of Mooresville, IN and will be greatly missed by his five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Bob is survived by relatives in Aurora, IL: his brother, William Clark; three sisters, Gertrude Little, June Hawkinson and Bessie Riggs. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two of his children, Robert Clark, Jr. and Diane Clark and sister, Edith Woodhouse.
A private family gathering for Bob will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
A graveside service for Bob will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery, IL, 414 N. River St., Montgomery, IL 60538. Pastor Neil Wilson will officiate.
A memorial service is being planned for the Mooresville, IN area. A memorial is being established in his name.
