Robert James Francour, age 64, of Silverthorne, CO and Green Lake, WI, died unexpectedly February 4, 1999, in Denver, CO.

He was born June 25, 1934, in Marinette, WI, a son to Raymond and Helen (Jackson) Francour. After graduating from Peshtigo High School, he spent 4 years in the US Air Force. He then attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where he received his B.S. and M.E. degrees. On August 25, 1962, he married Elizabeth Ann Zaida. Until his retirement, Bob had taught English at Green Lake High School for 29 years. His activities included being a Boy Scout Scoutmaster for 18 years, baseball coach, volunteer at Tri-Casa Animal Shelter in Green Lake, and volunteer at Silverthorne Elementary School. He belonged to the American Legion, Ripon Barbershop Chorus, WEA and GLEA.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of Green Lake & Silverthorne; 1 daughter, Nicolette (Thomas) Geiger of Littleton, CO; 2 sons, Douglas and Patrick Francour of Green Lake; 1 sister, Kathleen (Paul) Seymour of Allenton, WI; 1 brother, Jerry Francour of Peshtigo, WI; step-sister, Marge LaCount of Green Bay, WI; and step.brother, Jack (Sue) Peterson of Peshtigo. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be said Tuesday, February 9, 1999, at 11:00AM at St Patrick Catholic Church, Ripon with the Reverend John A. Schmitz officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 8 from 4 until 8 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again 1 hour prior to the mass at the church on Tuesday

Bob was an extremely loving and devoted husband and father. He was a highly respected and active member of the community
