Robert Gitzel

Robert Gitzel, age 79, of Pickett, died Saturday, August 23, 1997, at All About Life Rehabilitation Center in Fond du Lac.

He was born July 28, 1918, in Eureka, a son to Karl and Mathilda (Schiump) Gitzel.. He attended Dodd Country School. On October 16, 1943, he married Ruth Held. Mr. Gitzel was a
farmer and also worked at Mid-States Aluminum Corp. of Fond du Lac. He was a member of the
Ripon Assembly of God Church for 34 years-and was a Church Board Member for 34 years.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; 4 children, Robert (Joan) Gitzel of Eldorado, Bonnie (Dr.
Roger) Cotton of Springfield, MO, Kathleen Gitzel of Oshkosh and Donald (Kathie) Gitzel of
Malone; 3 brothers, Ralph (Clara) Gitzel of Green Lake, Leon Gitzel of Ripon and Daniel
(Barbara) Gitzel of Waupun; 3 sisters, Edna Derry of TN, Vivian Feder of Green Lake and Eda
(Glenn) Gillen of Menasha; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his parents.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 26, 1997, at 11 AM at the Assembly of God Church with Pastor Donald Deike officiating. Visitation will be Monday, August 25 from 4 until 8 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again of Tuesday from 10 AM until the hour of the service at the church. Interment in Rosendale Cemetery. Memorials to the Assembly of God
