Robert Heiple

Robert William Heiple, age 86, of Green Lake, died July 4, 1997, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center, Neenah.

He was born July 11, 1910, in Green Lake, a son to Robert Benjamin and Ottillie (Kautz) Heiple. He married Emma Louise Baumgartner on December 28, 1933.

He graduated from Green Lake High School, and attended Ripon
College and Milwaukee School of Engineering. He had lived his early childhood
1910-1916 in Green Lake, then in McCoy and Jefferson, WI, returning to Green
Lake where he lived from 1921 to present. Mr. Heiple was an electrician from
1933-1936, and then became an accountant for Drews Oil Co. from 1936 1975.

Mr. Heiple was a member of the Ripon/Green Lake Masonic Lodge F&AM #95, Green Lake Lions Club, Charter Member of the Federated Church of Green Lake, Green Lake Historical Society and the Ripon Harmony Kings. He was also a member of the Green Lake Writer’s Club, and was co-author with his wife, Emma Heiple of the book, “A Heritage History of Beautiful Green Lake, Wisconsin.”

He is survived by his wife, Emma Heiple of Green Lake; son, Bruce
(Irma) Heiple of Grass Valley, CA and daughter, Brenda (Donald) Holmer of
Westminster, CO; 3 grandchildren, Tanya Heiple of Portsmouth, England,
Timothy Heiple of Salt Lake City, UT and LaNette Wimer of Thorton, CO; 2
great-grandsons, Dillon and Nicholas Wimer of Thorton, CO; and sister, Esther
Barney of Roseburg, OR. He was preceded in death by his parents1 brother-in-law,
Kenneth Barney and nephew, Charles Barney.

Funeral service will be Thursday, July 10, 1997, at 11 AM at the Federated Church of Green Lake, with Pastor Karen Gygax Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. Memorials to the Green Lake Federated Church, Masonic Lodge, and the Green Lake Lion’s Club.
