Robert Henry Hrubec, age 77, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born November 14, 1938, in Chicago, IL, the son of Joseph and Genevieve (Sezypinski) Hrubec. He graduated from Gordon Tech in Chicago. Robert went on to proudly serve our country in the United States Air Force and also following in the National Guards as a Staff Sergeant. In 1972, Robert married Mary Arlene Turner in Wheaton, IL. Robert was employed at AT&T for 32 years, where he retired. He then went to work at the American Baptist Assembly where he retired a second time.
Robert enjoyed fishing, crosswords, painting and being involved in the Boy Scouts. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and Chicago White Sox fan and loved his family. While he loved those things, his family loved him for his great sense of humor, his warmth, patience and his kind heart.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Mary A. Hrubec; four children, Jeffery S. Hrubec, Janet Lynn Weber, Thomas A. Hrubec and Robert J. Hrubec; grandchildren, Austin J. Hrubec, Dominique Weber, Mark Akers and Will Weber; great-grandchildren, Landon, Lilli, Logan and Londyn and one brother, Richard (Carol) Hrubec. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Genevieve.
There will be a private family service for Robert at a later date.
