Robert Arden Kenas, age 78, of Ripon, died Saturday, July 11, 1998, at Markesan Resident Home, Markesan.
He was born December 17, 1919, in the Town of Rosendale, the son of Carl and Clara (Bloch) Kenas. He was a graduate of Rosendale High School. In 1943, he married the former LaVerne Meyer at Immanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church in Ripon. Mr. Kenas had been a farmer, and had lived in the Town of Springvale for 47 years and this past 4 years in Ripon. He was a faithful and dedicated, lifetime member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne; I daughter, Kathleen Beauchaine (Allan) of Tempe, AZ; 6 sons, Robert (Donna) of New Lisbon, WI, James (Kathleen) of Coeur d Alene, ID, Charles (Carla) of Eldorado, Mark of Madison, Phillip (Barbara) of Beloit and Paul (Cynthia) of Portage; 9 grandsons, 7 granddaughters, I step-granddaughter, 2 great-grandchildren. and 2 step-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by I half-brother, Fred Kenas (Edna) of Ripon and I half-sister, Erna Zamzow (Wilbur) of Wausau, I sister, Elda Wetzel of Bradenton, FL, 2 brothers-in-law, LeRoy Theune of Green Lake and Marlyn White of Tucson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Thomas, parents, 2 brothers Verne and Elmer, 2 sisters Evelyn Theune and Verona Waite; and 2 sisters-in-law Betty Kenas and Marilyn Kenas.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 1998, from 9 until 11 AM at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon. Funeral services will be at 11 AM at the church with the Reverend David Busker officiating. Interment will be in the Rosendale Cemetery, Rosendale. Memorials may be given in his name to ALIVE Camps of the United Methodist Church.
