Robert Krahn

August 13, 1926 — June 19, 2015

Robert Albert Krahn, age 88, of Sun City West, AZ and of Green Lake, WI, made his way to heaven June 19, 2015, at Berlin Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.

Robert was born August 13, 1926, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Harry and Rose (Reich) Krahn. He graduated Boy’s Tech in Milwaukee. He enlisted in the Air Force and served his country with much pride and honor. He married the love of his life Geraldine Cianciolo where they had a blessed 62 years of love and marriage. Robert’s family lived in Greendale, WI, for many years before retiring and moving to Sun City West, AZ, where Robert and Geraldine spent 24 years of warmth and sunshine together. Robert was a man who was gentle, kind, loving, and cherished his family and friends. He loved the Lord who blessed him with a wonderful life and three beautiful children, two daughters in-law, and two grandchildren.

Robert lived with grace and compassion. He treasured his traveling experiences around the world with his wife and children. His tenderness for nature brought true enjoyment in every experience of birdwatching, snorkeling, hiking, fishing, and looking to the heavens. Robert’s optimistic way of life was true enjoyment for all those who loved, hugged, and knew him. “Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, for love as there is memory, lives on always in the heart.” (Dad’s favorite quote)

Survivors include his children, Gary (Marsha) Krahn of Green Lake, WI and Karen (Elmer) Klavetter of Tucson, AZ; grandsons, Kyle (Kyra) Klavetter of Austin, TX, and Sean Klavetter of Houston, TX; and a daughter in-law, Pat Krahn of Winthrop Harbor, IL. Robert is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robert is preceded in death by his son, Robert “Bobby” Krahn and his wife Gerry.
