Robert Morrison

Robert L. Morrison Sr., age 75, of Green Lake Terrace, died peacefully at his home Saturday, November 22, 2003.

Robert was born June 4, 1928, in Valier, Illinois to Robert and Muriel (Delcourt) Morrison. He married Helen Grochowski on June 3, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. Robert was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad System for 25 years, and the State of Illinois before moving to Ripon in 1977. He was employed by Ripon College until his retirement.

He is survived by his four children; Linda Dorsey of Hoffman Estates, Ill. and her children, Shannan (Saul) Pelayo, Erica, and Janine, all of Illinois; Daughter, Kathleen (James) Boozer and their daughter, Cassandra of Bolingbrook, Ill.; Son, Robert L. (Barbara) Morrison Jr. of Ripon. Step-grandchildren, Jason Naparalla, Jennifer (Steve) Borden and Kevin Naparalla, and his son, Allan Morrison and son Brian of Streamwood, Ill. He is further survived by one great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Pelayo and 2 step-great-grandchildren, Tristian and Dakota Borden; Brothers, John and Tom and sister, Marcy. His special friend, Shirley Sondalle of Princeton, and his faithful companion, Ben also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen on July 18, 1983, his mother and father, and a sister, Irma.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2003, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, with Father Robert A. Fictum officiating. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, Town of Ripon. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
