Robert Perkins

Robert Perkins, 77, of Brandon, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center, OshkoSh.

He was born August 8, 1921, in Kenosha, WI, a son to Ralph and Caroline (Lambrich) Perkins. He was a graduate of Kenosha High School, and served our country in the U.S. Navy from October 1940 thru December 1946. On June 28, 1947, he married Carol Pfeiffer. He was a machinist at Giddings and Lewis of Fond du Lac for 27 years. He had lived in Eldorado, moving to Palestine, Texas in 1976, then moving to Brandon where he has lived since 1991. He was an active, longlife member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale, member of the Historical Society of Brandon and the Pickett Steam & Gas Engine Club. He was a volunteer for Lifeline of the Waupun Hospital, and was active in the disabled veterans of Fond du Lac.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; 1 daughter, Janet (Dennis) Bennett of Hickory. NC; 3 sons, David (Peggy) Perkins of Eldorado, James (Ann) Perkins of Brandon and Jeffry (Peggy) Perkins of Rosendale; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at 11 AM at Peace Lutheran Church of Rosendale with the Rev. Craig Wolfgram officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again on Wednesday morning from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be at the Rogersville Cemetery, Town of Lamartine. A memorial has been established.
