Robert D. Perr, age 75, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Fountain View Care Center surrounded by loved ones after a brief, but courageous campaign with lung cancer.
Robert was born February 21, 1940, in Ripon, the son of John and Marie (Dahlke) Perr. He graduated from Ripon High School in 1957 and went on to serve our country in the United States Navy. Robert married Bonnie Pfeiffer in Rosendale, WI, November 11, 1967. He worked for Mercury Marine for 37 years as an assembler. Robert attended Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent countless hours perfecting his beautiful flower gardens and feeding his birds, squirrels, rabbits, and chipmunks. He loved swimming in the ocean and soaking up the sun. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his six grandchildren who were the lights of his life. The gardens in heaven will be a whole lot more beautiful now that he is there.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Perr of Ripon, WI; sons, Anthony (Michele) Perr of Ripon, WI, and Jason (Michelle) Perr of Germantown, MD; daughters, Kristine (Curt) Barnett of Ripon, WI, and Carrie (Shawn) Bryant of Sun Prairie, WI; grandsons, Ross Barnett of Ripon, WI, and Jax Bryant of Sun Prairie, WI; granddaughters, Jordyn and Bettie Jayne Perr both of Ripon and Emma and Lexa Bryant both of Sun Prairie, WI; brothers, Clare (Joni) Perr of Berlin, WI, Ronald (Mariyln), Richard (Shirley), and Bernard (Carol) Perr all of Ripon, WI; sisters, Evelyn Wepner, Joyce Perr, and Margaret Zwolski all of Ripon, WI. He is also survived by many other relatives; including, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, mother and father in-law; sister in-law, Betty Pinch; brother, Stanley; sisters, Adeline, Gertrude, and Marie.
Visitation for Robert D. Perr will be held Sunday, March 8, 2015, from 3 – 5:00 p.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial Service for Robert D. Perr will be held Sunday, March 8, 2015, at 5:00 p.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell will officiate. A memorial is being established.
