Roger Kimble

Roger Edward Kimble, age 87, of Brandon, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Fond du Lac Lutheran Home in Fond du Lac, WI.
Roger was born on January 23, 1923, in the Town of Green Lake, WI, the son of Merwin and Josephine (Lichtenberg) Kimble . On June 18, 1947, he married Elaine Meyer at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale, WI. Roger and his wife, Elaine farmed in Ripon for twelve years, and then in 1959, they moved to Brandon and lived on their farm. He worked for National Rivet Manufacturing of Waupun for twenty three years. Roger was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Brandon and also Lodge # Local 1516 through National Rivet Manufacturing. Roger was a man of few words but always had a smile for his grandchildren and enjoyed taking them hunting and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Orrin (Dione) Kimble of Brandon, WI and Merwin (Mary) Kimble of Brandon, WI; four grandchildren, Sadie Jo (William) Block of Leaf River, IL, Keri Jean Kimble of Brandon, WI, Ashley Ann Kimble of Fond du Lac, WI and Tate Gregory Kimble of Brandon, WI; three sisters, Harriet Hilke of Ripon, WI, Lois Quick of Fulton, MO and Beverly (Gene) Brey of St. Cloud, WI; one brother, Kenneth (Karen) Kimble of Markesan, WI and many nieces and nephews. Roger is further survived by special friends and neighbors, Ralph and Becky Meyer and their daughter, Hilary. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine who passed in 2005, his parents, two grandsons; sister, Shirley Wetzel; one brother, Maurice Kimble.
Visitation for Roger Kimble will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, from 10 – 11:00 am at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 107 S. Prairie St. Brandon, WI 53919.
Funeral Service for Roger Kimble will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at 11:00 am at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon. Reverend Stuart Dornfeld will officiate. Interment will follow at Brandon Cemetery in Brandon, WI. A memorial is being established.
