Roger William King, age 56, of R#1, Green Lake, died Friday, December 2, 1988, at his home.
Mr. King was born April 7, 1932, to Lawrence and Elizabeth McDowell King in Detroit, MI. On November 27, 1961, he married Carolyn Peterson.
Mr. King attended Ferndale High School in Michigan and then Grinnell College in Iowa. He graduated from the University of Michigan where he received his bachelors and masters degrees. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-55. He was a salesman for the Menasha Corporation. He had lived in Green Lake for 11 years and was a member of The Federated Church of Green Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; one son, Eric of Memphis, TN; one daughter, Andrea King of Bristol, CT; one sister, Ruth Ann Ballard of Birmingham, MI; one brother, Lawrence of Bloomfield Hills, MI and his mother of Bloomfield Hills, MI. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral service will be held Monday, December 5, 1988, at 11:00 am at The Federated Church of Green Lake. The Reverend Dwight Bastian will officiate. Inurnment will be in White Chapel Memorial Park in Troy, MI
Friends may call Sunday, December 4, 1988, from 2 4:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
