Roger “Whiskey Willie” Page, age 62, of Ripon, WI, passed away Thursday, October 17, 1996, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
He was the son of Luella Page Acord and the stepson of Robert Acord, and was born March 4, 1934, in Wauwatosa. He attended Ripon High School. On August 20, 1955, he married the former Marthalee Ammeter. He had lived in Ripon most of his life, and had been a truck driver for 30 years until retiring in May of 1991, from overnight transportation. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
He is survived by his wife, Marthalee; two sons, Randy Page and his wife, Pam of Sussex and Jeffrey Page of Slinger; two grandchildren, Sarah and Shannon Page of Sussex. He is further survived by his mother and stepfather, Luella and Robert Acord, many aunts, uncles, cousins, including special cousins, Vernice and Ronnie Brink, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral service will be held Monday, October 21, 1996, at 11 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon with Pastor James D. Mohr officiating. Burial will be in Gould Rock Cemetery in Adams County.
Visitation will be Sunday, from 2 until 5 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Monday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church.
