Roger Smith

Roger Herman Smith, 77, of Green Lake, died unexpectedly Monday, March 8, 1999, at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born April 11, 1921, in Green Lake, a son to the late William
F. and Bertha (Zinke) Smith. He was a 1939, graduate of Green Lake High
School. On June 2, 1945, he married Mildred Zimmerman. Along with
farming, Roger hauled milk, worked at the Brooklyn Feed Mill and Culligan
Soft Water. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Green Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; daughter, Cheri (Gordy) Smith of Green Lake; son, Ron (Paulette) Smith of Verona; and 4 grandchildren, Rodney Smith of Oshkosh, Erica Smith of Milwaukee, Bryant Smith of Madison and Jared Smith of Verona. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Harold Smith.
Funeral service will be Thursday, March 11, 1999, at 11 AM at Peace Lutheran Church, Green Lake. The Reverend Rodney Deitsche will officiate and interment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 until 7 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon and again on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. A Memorial has been established.
