Ronald James Brink, age 71, of 128 Spaulding Ave, Ripon, passed away Monday evening, February 13, 2006, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side.
He was born February 20, 1934 in Waupun, the son to James Alton and Josephine (Hendricks) Brink. Ron was educated in Green Lake where he graduated from high school. On September 3, 1955, he married Vernice Joan Page in Ripon. Until his retirement he was owner-operator of Brink Trucking. Ron was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and a member of the Mens prayer breakfast of the church. Ron served our country in the US Army 188th Airborne Tank Division from 1955-1957.
Survivors include his wife, Vernice; 1 son, Thomas (Lori) Brink; 3 grandchildren, Tyler Brink, Brandon and Ashley Boe, and 1 great-granddaughter, Makayla Dalton. He is further survived by 2 brothers; Stanley (Carolyn) Brink and David (Vickie) Brink; 1 sister, Betty Kuehn; 1 brother-in-law, Larry Beier, all of Ripon; 1 aunt, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Donald, 1 brother-in-law, Marland Page, and 2 sisters-in-law, Janice Beier and Joyce Brink.
Funeral service for Ronald J. Brink will be Friday, February 17, 2006 at 11 a.m at Immanuel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul W. Nulton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home of Ripon and again on Friday from 10-11a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Bethel Reeds Corners Cemetery in the town on Metomen. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
