Ronald Ricky Otto, age 71, of Ripon, WI, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at his home with family by his side.
Ronald was born July 14, 1950, in Princeton, WI, the son of Melvin and Irene (Polfuss) Otto. He graduated from Ripon High School and in 1972; Ronald married Diane Vollbrecht in Brandon, WI. He worked as a machinist for Mercury Marine for 47 years. Ronald enjoyed watching anything baseball but he was an avid Red Sox fan, playing softball, shooting pool, fishing and hunting. The thing closest to his heart was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Otto of Ripon, WI; son, Shane (Kristin) Otto of Fairwater, WI; daughter, Heather (fiancé Steve) Shanahan of Fond du Lac, WI; grandchildren, Madison, Ashlyn and Shay; siblings, Milton (Carol) Otto of Green Lake, WI, Terry (Catherine) Otto of Ripon, WI and Lola Oviedo of Tucson, AZ; brothers-in-law, Richard (Judy) Vollbrecht of Brandon, WI and Mark (Sandra) Vollbrecht of Howards Grove, WI and his aunt, Grace Polfuss of Princeton, WI. Ronald is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Irene Otto; father and mother-in-law, Carlyle and Hazel Vollbrecht and nephew, Bradley Vollbrecht.
Visitation for Ronald will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 1 – 3:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial Service for Ronald will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Ken Huelsman officiating. A memorial is being established in his name.
