Ronald Peschke

Ronald “Buzz” Peschke, age 67, of Fairwater, WI, met his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 20, 2012 after a short illness.

Ronald was born May 14, 1945, in Ripon, WI, the son of Gordon and Elsie (Retzlaff) Peschke. He graduated from Ripon High School with the class of 1963. He worked at Alliance Laundry Systems (Speed Queen) for 48 plus years, retiring March 1, 2011. Ronald married Susanne “Susie” Abel on November 4, 1967, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Buzz was a loving father to Kristin (Jamie) and Megan (Matt). He was “Papa Buzz” to Elsie Rose, Iliana Grace, Alexis and Elijah. Ronald was a member of Local United Steel Workers Union #1327 where he served as a trustee for many years. He also served as a girls softball coach, was a board member of Grace Lutheran Preschool, a volunteer for Lifest in Oshkosh and a volunteer at Ripon Medical Center. Ronald also played church Dartball and served as the President of his league and Team Captain. Ronald was gregarious and enjoyed playing cards. He loved to watch the Packers and the Brewers and found great pleasure in talking about them with his friends.

Ronald willingly served his Lord in the Congregations of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, WI, Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater, WI and Christ the Rock Community Church in Menasha, WI. His family knows he will receive a “Well done, good and faithful servant!” from his heavenly Father.

Survivors include his wife, Susie of almost 45 years, of Fairwater, WI, daughters, Megan (Matt) Mueller of Appleton, WI, Kristin (Jamie) Gustafson of Coon Rapids, MN; grandchildren, Elsie Rose, and Iliana Grace Gustafson; step-grandchildren, Alexis and Elijah Gustafson all of Coon Rapids, MN; brother, Karl (Anne) Peschke of Lexington, KY; nephews, Mark (Margaret) Peschke, Ryan (Libby) Peschke all of Glenville, IL, Kyle Peschke of Nevada City, CA; mother-in-law, Charlotte Abel of Berlin, WI; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Ann Abel of Oshkosh, WI; niece, Sara (Kurt) Sheppard of Neenah, WI; nephew, Tyler (Rona) Abel of Plover, WI; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Elsie (Retzlaff) Peschke, and father-in-law, Clifford Abel.

Visitation for Ronald “Buzz” Peschke will be held on Friday, August, 24, 2012, from 4-7 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Saturday, August 25, 2012, from 10-11 am, at Ripon Community Church, 155 State St., Ripon, WI, 54971.

Funeral Service for Ronald will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at 11:00 am at Ripon Community Church, in Ripon. Pastor Jim Meyer will officiate. Inurnment will follow at a later date. A memorial is being established.
