Rose H. Kolbek, 95, of Ripon, died on Monday, February 2, 2009, at the Barrett House in Ripon.
Rose was born on July 22, 1913, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Priibil) Bretschneider. She attended schools in Chicago and in Europe. On December 11, 1937 she married Frank Kolbek.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen Bush of Ripon, and Peggy Atkinson of Oshkosh; son, Robert Kolbek of Ripon; daughter-in-law, Nancy Hitt of California; two grandsons, Bruce Bush of Minnesota, and Bradley Bush of Florida; 5 granddaughters, Melissa Robbins, Bridget Hintze, and Vanessa Selthofner all of Wisconsin, Kelly Vantress, and Kin Johnson both of Califorina; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Frank (Butch) Jr.; 6 brothers; 3 sisters; and one daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Moran) Kolbek.
Private family services and inurnment will take place in Coloma, WI, at a later date.
