Roy Owen Bentley, Sr., age 80, of Ripon, WI, passed away on February 27, 1986, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Roy was born June 22, 1905, in Lomira, WI, the son of Amelia Steiner. He was educated in Lomira and Fond du Lac. On April 2, 1942, Roy married Lois Thacker in Madison. He worked as a barber for 54 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; one son, Roy O. Bentley Jr. of Waunakee, WI; one daughter, Marcia Buhrow of Ripon, WI; three grandsons, one sister, Ruth Woody of Fond du Lac, WI and one brother, Earl of Waupun, WI. He was preceded in death by one half sister.
Visitation for Roy will be held on Friday, February 28, 1986, from 6 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.
A private family service will be held Saturday, March 1, 1986, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Stanley C.F. Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
