Roy W. Krause

Roy W. Krause, age 98, of Ripon, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Ripon.

Roy was born on July 29, 1925 in Ripon, the son of Charles and Dora (Woehlke) Krause. He was a devoted member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ. Roy worked at Speed Queen in Ripon for 22 years and also was involved in management and maintenance at various apartment projects for many years in Ripon and 20 years in Illinois. He loved hunting and fishing, and enjoyed the outdoors and taking care of lawns and flowers.

Roy is survived by his sons, Dennis (Linda) Krause and Donald (Denita) Krause; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dora Krause; his wife, Lorraine Krause; his first wife, Sylvia Krause; two brothers, Harold (Gertrude) Krause and Edwin (Betty) Krause; a sister, Eleanor Burns; and a step-son, DuWayne (Sheryl) Klatt; and his loyal friend, Molly.

A graveside service and inurnment will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Green Lake Center Cemetery, Markesan, WI, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. 

Roy’s family would like to extend many thanks to his care team at Whispering Pines and also to Generations Hospice for their loving care and support given to Roy. He knew he was in good hands and felt their loving presence, God bless all of you. Also many thanks to Sharon for her friendship and help given to Roy over the years.
