Ruby Gehrke

Ruby Mae Gehrke, age 82, passed away on Friday, August 14, 1992, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born June 15, 1910, in Oshkosh, to Harvey and Sarah (Graf) Payton. She was educated in Oshkosh and attended two years of college. She married Walter Gehrke on August 3, 1931. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1961. Mrs. Gerhke lived in Ripon all of her married life. She owned and operated the Gehrke Paint Store in Ripon for 20 years. She was active in the Yard and Garden Club for many years, was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Arlene Davis and Jacqueline (Roger) Burlingame, both of Ripon; five grandchildren, Brian Davis, Lynn McDonald, Ann Davis, Vick Marchinkowski and Del Burlinggame; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Ruby Mae Gehrke will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. The Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow will officiate. Interment will follow in Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for Parkview Care Center in her name.
