Ruby Moderow, age 91, of Parkview Care Center in Ripon, died Tuesday morning, March 11, 2003, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born October 26, 1911, in the Town of Mackford, Green Lake County, the daughter of Fred and Mae (Collar) Schultz. She graduated from Markesan High School. In November of 1932, she married Edwin A. Moderow. Ruby was a homemaker, and clerked part-time at the Davis Grocery Store in Ripon. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Ripon. Rubys favorite things were playing cards and dancing.
Survivors include her 3 children, Anna Mae Wood (Wayne) of Mukilteo, WA, Frederick Moderow (Sharon) of Ripon and Lynn Moderow (Patricia) of Wild Rose; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Mabel Moderow of Ripon. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1967; parents; and 2 sisters, Grace & Eunice.
Funeral service for Ruby Moderow will be Thursday, March 13, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Mose officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Loper Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
