Ruby Schwandt

Ruby Schwandt, age 81, of Ripon, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 14, 1997, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born November 19, 1915, in the Town of Ripon, the daughter of Rudolph and Amelia (Klawitter) Hahn. On August 15, 1936, she married Lester Schwandt, Sr. in Ripon.
Mrs. Schwandt attended Ripon Schools. She worked as a housekeeper at Ripon College for 25 years, and was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include 2 sons, Gerald and his wife, Barbara of Ripon and
Lester Jr. and his wife, Doris of Ripon; I daughter, Carolyn and her husband, Junior Plagenz of Markesan; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Leola Klingbeil and her husband, Harold; and sister-in-law, Grace Hahn. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978, a great-grandson and a brother, Alfred Hahn.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 17, 1997, at 10:30 AM at Our
Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon with the Rev. James D. Mohr officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A Memorial has been established.
