Rudolf Tamsen, age 84, of N4931 Peacock Lane, Green Lake, died Wednesday, March 6, 1996, at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born October 20, 1911, in Montague, Mi, the son of the late Nicklous and Dorothy Tamsen. He was educated in Montague. On December 12, 1931, he married the former Leona Kutz. Mrs. Tamsen passed away on August 16, 1993. Mr. Tamsen worked as a foreman for Guenther-Wagner-Johnson General Contractors (Guenther & Sons) of Milwaukee. He had lived in Milwaukee most of his life until his retirement in 1975 when he moved to Green Lake. Mr. Tamsen was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Green Lake, charter member of Redemption Lutheran Church of Milwaukee, and member of Mount Lebanon Church, Milwaukee. He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, AFL-CIO.
He is survived by 2 sons, Roger (Mary Alice) Tamsen of Cudahy and Robert (Mary) Tamsen of Birmingham, MI; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lillie Butzer of Muskegon, MI and Emily Kartman of Eau Claire; and 1 brother-in-law, Paul (Catherine) Kutz of Ft Lauderdale, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife Leona and 2 brothers, Henry and Adolf.
Friends may call Friday, March 8, 1996, from 6 until 8 P.M. at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Green Lake. Funeral services will follow at 8 P.M. on Friday at the church with The Reverend Rodney Dietche officiating.
Visitation will also be on Saturday, March 9, 1996, from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at Redemption Lutheran Church, 5641 N 68th St, Milwaukee, followed by graveside services at Pine lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Milwaukee with The Reverend William Fischer officiating.
Memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church, Redemption Lutheran Church, or charity of your choice.
