Russell Herbert Lehman, age 82, of Ripon, passed away on October 5, 2008, peacefully with his family present, at Kindred Hearts in Green Lake.
Russell was born in Ripon, WI on October 20, 1925, the son of Herman and Adella (Voss) Lehman. He graduated from Ripon Senior High School and in 1948 he married Virginia Jacob in Fond du Lac. Russell worked at Speed Queen in Ripon as a Utility Manager on the assembly line for 33 years, and was a part-time school bus driver for 48 years. He was one of the original Ripon Little League Managers. Russell was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon, and over the years he donated 6 gallons of blood to the blood drive. He also enjoyed ice fishing, feeding birds, gardening, and loved the Ripon Tigers sports, and was the team bus driver for all sporting events.
Survivors include his wife Virginia Lehman of Ripon; one daughter, Janice Elliott and her son, Andrew Elliott both of Brown Deer, WI; two sons, David Lehman of Denver, Co, and Steven Lehman of Pittsburgh, PA. Russell is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Nelson, Kenneth, Fred and Lester Lehman; and one sister, Ruth Badtke.
Visitation for Russell H. Lehman will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with the Reverend Paul Nulton officiating. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Memorials can be given to the Immanuel United Methodist Church Elevator Fund, 401 W.
